Jim, I've seen your name in the archives but don't know if you are still on the list. I'm the Snoddy descendant that has two plus generations that married into the Sampson family. Anywho ... I was wondering if you ever made any headway into finding out the maiden name of the Jane "Jinney" who maarried William Sampson. Their daughter Elizabeth "Betsy" Sampson (b. about 1748) married John Snoddy Jr. It was the next generation down where Sarah "Sally" Sampson (Betsy's neice) married her son Thomas Snoddy (b. 1782) that moved on over to Smith County, TN.
