    3. Judy, I have an idea of who I think she might be but not sure. If its who I think is might be she is never listed as J. F. in any of the census that I have. And if its the person I'm thinking her name and age are never listed the same in the census. I don't find a marriage record for Andrew Carter and a Kemp in the records online. I wanted to ask if you have a copy of her death certificate? Mary Knight I recently received information stating that my g-grandfather, Andrew Carter - b. 1847, TN., and the son of Harlan Carter and Joanna Davis m. Frances / Fanny Kemp. Frances was also b. in abt. 1847 in TN. and some information indicates that Frances had a first name that began with the letter "J", as the grave marker for one of her sons lists her name as J.F. Carter. Does anyone have any information that connects a Frances Kemp, or J. Frances Kemp to any of the various Kemp families that were known to be living in Smith or Macon Counties between 1860 - 1870? I Would also like to know more about the Kemp family in general, any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.
