Hello, I am trying to match Barney Lane b. 1818 with a family in Smith County. There is a Danl. H. Lane listed in the 1830 census with 2 sons between 10-15 - which matches. However, I don't find any Lane's in the 1840 census. Does anyone know what happened to this Danl Lane? more info - In later cenus' Barney always reported being born in Ky.
