Ernest & Joan - I just went into the LDS.org site and found 262 listings of various Evetts. You might want to view these. Go into search, in surname only write EVETTS, and scroll down and put in country space, United States, then search. Rechecked the Lands Records and nothing there to match. What's so frustrating, as I'm sure you understand, is that the other branches of my family are filled-to-overflowing....some going back to Norse royalty even. And then, there's the actual family name branch that just doesn't get very far back at all.......and some of it's iffy. I'll keep on trying.
