Jackson Washington Hargis (1815-1897) son of William and Hannah Howell Hargis, first wife was Mary Jane Caroline "Calline" Uhles (1819-1859) daughter of Richard and Lucy Tuck Uhles. I am descended from Jackson and Calline Uhles Hargis. I am also descended from John Hargis (1797-1882) son of William and Hannah Howell Hargis and his wife Permelia Uhles (aunt to above Calline). I am trying to trace a couple generations of each of their children and their descendants, hence the interest in Dixon Dyer and wife Letha Aqulla Hargis. Thanks Sharon Tabor
