I have just found a land grant for two of my Robinsons: John and William. M. In 1838 they were granted land on the headwaters of Wartrace Creek at that time it was Jackson Co. I was wondering if anyone knew if this part of Jackson Co became Smith or Macon Co? I would also love to connect these two Robinsons to any other Robinsons listed on the 1840 Jackson Co census: Andrew, John J. or Matlock. Thanks, Karen Henry Oldfield
