    3. Melba, Again, thanks so much for your willingness to help. I first said I would like the Thomas info. On second thought, if there is an indication of anyone who came from Virginia, I would like to know about that. Most of the Williams in Smith County (I believe) came from North Carolina. Any Williams who came from Virginia might be significant for me. I will be happy to pay any costs that you might incur. Thanks, Martha Eldon Wilkins <MelEl512@att.net> wrote: Dear Bill & Martha, Oh my goodness, gracious...an old saying of my Tennessee relatives...listing is longer than Smith surname! I will list the names from the Index for you...there are 67 pages to refer to. If you need all them I could photocopy for cost of cc and mailing. Otherwise, please just pick out names you recognize. FYI I have done a lot of work on the Smith Co. Williams line...where do you fit? I will list WILLIAMS, followed by each first name shown with a Williams surname. WILLIAMS, Curtice (4 entries); Daniel; Edmund (6 entries); Herbert (2 entries); James (3 entries); John (5 entries); Joseph (3 entries) Joseph (2 entries); Mason (2 entries); Nathaniel (2 entries); Phillip (2 entries); Robert; Samuel; Sampson (6 entries)) ; Samson & John Boyd Williams (2 entries); Samuel; (3 entries); Theophalus (2 entries); Thomas (4 entries); Turner (3 entries); Willoughby (16 entries); and Zedick (2 entries) Melba -------Original Message------- From: Bill & Martha Barnes Date: 08/23/05 08:00:04 To: TNSMITH-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [TNSMITH] Land Grant Look-Up I would greatly appreciate a lookup for any Williams land grants.
