I went to the Overton County web site (Overton Co. Tn gen web) and found it quite interesting. (Previously had been there but at the time no interest in the war information.) It might be well for those of you who have stated you knew you had a family member in the Revolutionary War but I found no listing to go to this site. There is a 35 page listing of Tennessee State Society Of The Sons of the American Revolution found there (www.sar.org/tnssar) I do not know where or from what this list was taken from but do not feel it was from the N.C. Land Grant Book I have as there are missing names. There is also an article on American Revolution; and Virginia state lists of the Revolutionary Soldiers of Virginia. (This is a listing of Union Civil War Vets and their wives that were on the 1890 census of Pickett, Fentress, & Clay counties. It is alphabatized). Enjoy the journey. Melba
