    3. Its been a few years since I've been down there but we usually stay at the Comfort Inn in Gordonsville, just off interstate 40. http://www.comfortinn.com/ires/en-US/html/HotelInfo?hotel=TN003 You can drive to Lafayette, (Macon Co.) from Carthage if you dont mind the drive. However, we have also stayed at the Hearthstone Inn in Lafayette. You can visit the Library and courthouse in Lafayette. http://www.merchantcircle.com/business/The.Hearthstone.Inn.615-666-7114 Red Boiling Springs also have some bed and breakfast in the old hotels there. They have a library also but you will not find as much there as in Lafayette. http://www.redboilingspringstn.com/hotels-motels.htm I would also recommend the caf downtown Carthage near the courthouse and library. (If its still there?). The Timberloft in Gordonsville near the Comfort Inn, is a really good place to eat. There is also the Corner Cafe at 5234 Highway 31 E Restoral. Just a little drive out from Lafayette that we found had very good food. The locals may know of other places but as a visitor myself several times these are the places we have chosen and were happy with. 3. I want to thank everyone for their input. I will write and let you know what I found and where we stayed. It is our first trip to Tennesse and can't wait to get there. We may stay a couple of days just for the fun of it. Wish I could thank you all in person.
