I found a obit for Rufus Davis. The obit says Rufus S. Davis was born in Smith Co. TN Dec. 9, 1843 and died at his home in Cimarron Co. OK. His parents died when he was very young and he was reared by an aunt until he was old enough to care for himself. Rufus Davis came to Texas in 1857. Does anyone know who this Rufus is? Judy
