Leslie thanks for your reply. If you find anything out let me know. Wiley was 28 when he inlisted so his birthdate is about 1836. On the Volunteer Enlistment paper it says he was born in Franklin Co. NC. on the research ticket paper it says he was born in Smith Co. TN Judy

Their children (all born Smith Co., TN) were: Tabitha b abt 1825 John Dee b 6 Jan 1826 (m Elizabeth Rebecca Smith in Smith Co., TN) James W. b abt 1831 (m Martha Henderson in AR, my line) Mary Ann b 30 Mar 1833 (m James Parsons in AR) Ellen b abt 1835 (m John Henderson in AR) Matilda Jane b 19 Aug 1837 (m Abner Henderson in AR) Josiah b abt 1839 (m Margaret Hargis in AR) Richard b abt 1841 (never married) Elizabeth b 2 Aug 1843 (m Richard Gill in AR) Marenda b 2 Aug 1845 (m A. J. Henderson in AR) Paralee b abt 1847 All this family (except for John Dee) moved to Pike Co., AR after the 1850 census.
