Marcia and others researching Sullivans, I was wondering if anyone might know about the Sullivan's in Macon Co. The fartherest back I could find was Samuel Richard Sullivan born ca 1794 in NC. He had a son named Goldman Donahue Sullivan born 1850. There is also a Goldman Donahue Sullivan born earlier in KY. I have been talking to a Sullivan at my church and he descends from this group from James H. Sullivan son of Samuel Sullivan that married Rebecca Petty. I was trying to find out if the Macon Co,Tn Sullivans were kin to the Wilson Co Sullivans. Karen, I do not have a Samuel Richard Sullivan or Goldman Sullivan in my files. Holland Sullivan was born ca. 1790 in Guilford Co. NC, the son of Florence Sullivan, Jr. Holland's siblings were Reuben, Azel and Levi. Florence Sullivan, Jr., born ca. 1733, moved to NC from Caroline Co. MD with a group of Nicholites in the 1780s. His father, Florence Sr. born ca. 1776, listed sons John, Daniel, Florence, Jr., Solomon, Darby and Abraham in his Will. I checked RootsWeb for children of Reuben, Azel and Levi. None of their sons are named Samuel, however, very little research has been posted for Levi. I hope this helps.
