    3. Thank you, Ruth. I posted to the Smith County list and also the Trousdale County list since Goose Creek flows through both of those and since Smith County was the mother county of Macon and Trousdale. I would have thought it would have been closer to Monroe County, Kentucky since some of the family ended up there and there seemed to be a lot of going back and forth between Macon County and Monroe County. I have read somewhere that R. G. went by Rhody. Supposedly, R.G. Briant/Bryant is a son of Jesse Bryant and Mary Hill Nelson Bryant - the original Macon County book showed this, but I have not been able to find another source showing it. If his wife was a Stewart, I think she might have been the daughter of Alexander Stewart, possibly brother or somehow related to John C. Stewart (b. Scotland), Murdock Stewart (b. abt 1791 Virginia - d. Dec., 1860 Macon Co., TN), Patric Stewart (b. abt 1788 Virginia - d. before 1860, probably Macon Co., TN), Elizabeth Stewart (wife of John Crawford), William Stewart, Catherine Stewart Davis, Polly Stewart Davis, and Louisa Stewart Dill. I think Alexander Stewart also had a daughter named Polly. Again, thanks for any help anyone can give and Ruth, thank you again for responding.
