Notes for JAMES WILKS HALLIBURTON: Carthage Courier Obit 3 Dec 1992 WILKS HALLIBURTON Mr. Wilks Halliburton, age 95, of Pleasant Shade, died Sunday afternoon, November 29, 1992 at the Smith County Memorial Hospital in Carthage. Funeral services were conducted by Eld. James "Pete" Porter at 11 a.m. Tuesday from Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home with burial in Ridgewood Cemetery. A native of Difficult, he was the son of the late James and Sally Sutton Halliburton and was married to the late Martha Katherine (Kate) Massey Halliburton who preceded him in death on May 4, 1973. Mr. Wilks was a retired farmer and a member of the Defeated Creek Missionary Baptist Church. There are no immediate survivors.
