    3. Wonder if a William Owen or Henry Owen appears on any of the rosters of wartime. Earliest record in our files shows William Owen in Smith County Tennessee 1833 to 1850, We say 1833 because his son William Owen Jr. was born then, and we say 1850 because William Owen died around that time along with his wife. Strange for both to die same year, but our records could be wrong. We say Henry because my ggfather Henry Owen may have been named after his ggfather who would have been father to William Owen. Henry had a middle name Mentlo which could have come from an earlier ancestor, or a member of his ggmother's family. Any idea where the middle name Mentlo might have come from.? The remainder of this family was in Tyrone Missouri after 1875 when Henry married into the Rutledge family, also from Tennessee.. donkelly Owen Rutledge
