Does anyone have the Carthage Courier obit for Charles Woodard who died 21 May 2010? I would like to know who is parents were? Here is the obit from Sanderson Funeral Home but unfortunately it doesn't give the parents names. Sometimes the Courier will give parents names and I must have missed reading last weeks newspaper online. I only have one Charles Woodard that fits the dates for the man below. The one I have is the son of Robert Cecil WOODARD and Clara MAGGART. Is this their son in the obit below? Charles Woodard Mr. Charles Woodard, age 81 of Westmoreland, died Friday morning, May 21 at the Skyline Medical Center. He is survived by: wife, Ruth Clark Woodard; son, Danny Woodard & wife Jackie of Elmwood; step-children, Judson Clark of Westmoreland, Mark Clark of Hartsville, & Karen Luhrs of Hartsville; 1 grandchild; 1 great-grandchild. Mr. Woodard is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where his service will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. with Eld. Rickey Hall and Eld. Kenny Hensley officiating. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Westmoreland Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home on Friday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m.
WOODARD, Charles Age 81 of Westmoreland, passed away May 21st, 2010. Mr. Woodard was a United States Air Force Veteran. He was a member of Chesnut Mound Missionary Baptist Church. He was retired from Tenn. Pride. Mr. Woodard was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Nirma Woodard; 1st wife, Dean Harris Woodard; his sister, Alberta Griffenand two brothers, C. C. and H. E. Woodard. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Clark Woodard of Westmoreland; a son, Danny (Jackie) Woodard; grandchild, Deana (Michael) Cowan; great-grandchildren, Kayla and Emily Cowan, all of Elmwood, TN; two step-sons, Judson Clark of Westmoreland and Mark Clark of Hartsville; and a step-daughter, Karen Luhrs of Hartsville. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 2010 from chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home, Carthage, with Bros. Rickey Hall & Kenny Hensley officiating. Visit Friday, 5 p.m. - 9 p.m., at Woodard Funeral Home, Westmoreland, Saturday, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., at Sanderson Funeral Home and Sunday, 10 a.m. - service time at Sanderson Funeral Home.
