I was told there was a church near the old Thomas/Hughes farm at Funns branch. Does anyone know the history of this church and the records of this church might be obtained. Those records may hold some information on my brick walls. Jeannie I think Barbara Alexander told me it was a Methodist Church at one time. Not for sure Trying to break down those brick walls Reunion 2010. If you will look at the William"Buck" Searcy's Family History on the Smith County Genealogy Website, on page 5 they mention a church, Mount Hope Missionary Baptist Church on Funn's Branch. This is where the Wesley Sircy family attended church.
