Here is my concern. How do they connect. I know we found James/Jim in the 1880 census in district7 with the Austin Family. Was Sarah E the wife of the head a Climer; IF so who was her father. ALso Many of my family have reference to Taylor Climer as an Uncle. However I can Find no connection between them. The other thing is that in Logan Co KY where he died. I have found that the Austin line and the Soyar line connect and one of his daughters married a Soyar And I have foun that this Austin Line leads back to this Austin Family he is with in the 1880 Census in Macon County KY. I keep going in circles and getting more confused on this matter. There are also more children (for Thomas with two wives) than listed here in the 1870 Census.... Sue Gregory I don't know if this will be of help - Taylor Climer and Elizabeth Gregory married 23 Dec 1875 in Smith Co. 1870 census, Smith Co., P.O. Difficult: Thomas Climer, age 59, farmer, b. NC Millie, age 50, b. TN Burrel, age 21, b. TN Marion T., age 19, b. TN Sallie E., age 17, b. TN Mary D., age 14, b. TN Trafeenie, age 10, b. TN John, age 7, b. TN I believe Marion Taylor and wife Elizabeth are buried in the Climer Cemetery near Red Boiling Springs. There is quite a bit of info on various Climers on the Smith County GenWeb site.
