    1. Re: [TNSMITH] Church near Funns Branch
    2. I tried to respond to this but I am not sure it went through.  On the Smith County Genealogy website there is a family history of William "Buck" Searcy/Sircy who lived on Funn's Branch. My great grandfather, Wesley  Sircy, also lived on Funn's Branch.  He attended a church by the name of Mount Hope Missionary Baptist Church.  Information relative to this is on page 5 of the William Buck Sircy Family information.  Hope this helps you. ----- Original Message ----- From: joycecallis38@comcast.net To: tnsmith@rootsweb.com Cc: tnjackso@rootsweb.com Sent: Monday, May 24, 2010 11:45:21 PM GMT -06:00 US/Canada Central Subject: Re: [TNSMITH] Church near Funns Branch ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sammie Jean Fairchild" <looking4myfamily@att.net> To: tnsmith@rootsweb.com, tnjackso@rootsweb.com Sent: Monday, May 24, 2010 6:30:03 PM GMT -06:00 US/Canada Central Subject: [TNSMITH] Church near Funns Branch I was told there was a church near the old Thomas/Hughes farm at Funns branch.  Does anyone know the history of this church and the records of this church might be obtained.  Those records may hold some information on my brick walls.  Jeannie I think Barbara Alexander told me it was a Methodist Church at one time.
