Otis Johnson officiated. Mrs. Butler died Wednesday afternoon, November 23, 1983, at the Smith County Memorial Hospital at the age of 88. She was a native of Jackson County and the daughter of James B [Babe] and Tennessee Ramsey Kemp and was a member of the Smith County United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Genie Butler; two children, Opal Agee, of the Bagdad Community, and Leon Butler, of the Gladdice community; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. I have Lansford Kendred "Kenny" Kemp but don't know what should be correct. He listed in several places with all different spellings.
