Mr. Kemp died Wednesday morning, August 21, 1991, at Carthage General Hospital at the age of 72. Sunday when their Automobile left Highway 85 and plunged into the backwaters of Cordell Hull Lake. Dead, by drowning, are Willie Kemp, 94, and his wife Lizzie Kemp, 76. Joint Funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. Kemp were conducted Tuesday afternoon from the Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home, Carthage. Elder Roy Barker and Elder Verne Jackson officiated. Juliet Health Care Center at the age of 78 following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon, April 13, at 3:00 p.m. from the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. Eld. Lonnie Mozingo, Jr. officiated at the services and Burial followed in the Defeated Creek Memorial Gardens. The daughter of the late Willie and Ina Lemons Kemp, Mrs. Green was born in Defeated Creek. She was preceded in death on March 5, 1991, by her husband, Raymond Green. For many years, ending in the late 1970's, she and her husband Owned & Operated the Walton Hotel and Dining Room before their retirement. Mrs. Green was a member of the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church in Nashville. Mrs. Green was preceded in death on February 28, 1981, by a daughter, Carolyn Green Anderson. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Green Sircy of Carthage and Patricia Norris of Carthage; one Son, LaDon Green of Mt.
