Dillehay Lemons, 27 Aug. 1899 [SCTMR], the mother of all his children. Then married 2) Elizabeth N. (Lizzie) West Smith (27 June 1898 - 26 Jan. 1975) [LDVT], daughter of William Lauren (Lauren) and Margaret Frances Robinson West, 12 Nov. 1941. They were second wife and second husband, Lizzie having been originally married to Carroll Smith (24 May 1898 - 12 Mar. 1934), Oct. 14, 1917. [NOTE: SS Death Records have Elizabeth's birth date as 27 May 1898.] Born in Difficult, Smith Co., TN, Willie was a farmer in the Defeated Creek area; he passed at Cordell Hull Lake, TN. Per her STCD, Ina Belle died of cancer of the stomach. Willie and Lizzie died of drowning when coming home from church they ran off the road, into a creek and no-one could get a door open. Willie was born, raised, married, lived and died in Smith Co., TN. Willie, Ina and Lizzie are buried in the old section of the Defeated Creek Memorial Gardens, Smith Co., TN.
