    3. Jeannie, a lady by the name of Joan Craighead may have info on Ensor's Chapel church. She lives in the Kempville area and I'll be glad to give you her name so you can write her if you'll give me your personal e- mail address so it doesn't go all over. I am a Woodard by marriage. I have been researching the Woodard line for my husband's grandfather (W.J.). His father was Benton McMillian Woodard (Mac) and his mother was Clellie Franklin. I can't think of his father's name. They are from over in the Reece Hollow. I'll be glad to assist you with your Woodard's...who knows, we're probably connected. -------- Original Message -------- ==> From: "Sammie Jean Fairchild" <looking4myfamily@att.net> ==> Date: Tue, 25 May 2010 18:57:50 -0400 I think this is the one I am looking for. 2. I, too, would love to know exactly where this church was located on  Funn's Branch.  I go to Funn's Branch just riding around sometimes.  I guess you know there is a Sircy Cemetery behind a home on Funn's Branch.  This is where Wesley Sircy, his wife and brothers and families are buried.  I don't know where one could find the old church records, probably they are not available.  Would love to have a picture of this old church, but I don't believe I have seen a church building on Funn's Branch.  ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sammie Jean Fairchild" <looking4myfamily@att.net> To: tnsmith@rootsweb.com Sent: Tuesday, May 25, 2010 12:25:41 AM GMT -06:00 US/Canada Central Subject: Re: [TNSMITH] Church near Funns Branch My brother wayne comes thru Wesly Green Sircym he is a Ramsey by my mother 1st marriage,  Julie married Harvey Ramsey.  Mother talks of them often.  She really liked them a lot  Mom is 90 amd in rehab right now.  She will start telling me things and I got to where I keep a small note pad and pen with all the time now. 3. Just because I live in the area, there was a Methodist church by the name of Ensor's Chapel Methodist church on Funn's Branch. Every so often they will have a singing in the church. It is closed now for services. I believe they are to have a singing there month sometime...I can remember going there as a small child because that church was on our Dycus Circuit Charge. We would have service at each church on the charge every 5th Sunday. This isn't alot of info, but maybe it's the church you're inquiring about I am also a decendent of William Buck Sircy/Searcy....What a small world!!! My g/g/grandfather was James Riddle Sircy. 2. I tried to respond to this but I am not sure it went through.  On the Smith County Genealogy website there is a family history of William "Buck" Searcy/Sircy who lived on Funn's Branch. My great grandfather, Wesley  Sircy, also lived on Funn's Branch.  He attended a church by the name of Mount Hope Missionary Baptist Church.  Information relative to this is on page 5 of the William Buck Sircy Family information.  Hope this helps you. ----- Original Message ----- From: joycecallis38@comcast.net To: tnsmith@rootsweb.com Cc: tnjackso@rootsweb.com Sent: Monday, May 24, 2010 11:45:21 PM GMT -06:00 US/Canada Central Subject: Re: [TNSMITH] Church near Funns Branch ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sammie Jean Fairchild" <looking4myfamily@att.net> To: tnsmith@rootsweb.com, tnjackso@rootsweb.com Sent: Monday, May 24, 2010 6:30:03 PM GMT -06:00 US/Canada Central Subject: [TNSMITH] Church near Funns Branch I was told there was a church near the old Thomas/Hughes farm at Funns branch.  Does anyone know the history of this church and the records of this church might be obtained.  Those records may hold some information on my brick walls.  Jeannie I think Barbara Alexander told me it was a Methodist Church at one time.
