Rick, I don't believe your Martha could have been daughter of Henry L. Jenkins and Lucinda Gregory. I have pension papers on Henry he died in Sept 1863 and Lucinda died May 1864. The children and their birth dates are all named in these papers and there is no Martha Elizabeth. According to the online info you mentioned on George Silcox and Martha Jenkins she wasn't born until 1865. After Henry and Lucinda died the children were raised by both Samuel Jenkins and Joel Gregory grandparents. Henry and Lucinda's children were: 1. Mary A. b. Nov. 19, 1849 married Ben Coley 2. Dear Rick, Are you related to those Woodards in the Smith Co., area, many of whom were born in Jackson Co? I have a huge Woodard file and would like to talk to you. Question? Do I have this correct? I do not have all the children listed of Roderick Jenkins, however I have that two of his sons were James and Samuel. If my records are correct both of these sons (and brothers) married sisters. Reuben Goad and Mary Witcher had several children, among whom were daughters Sabra, who married Samuel Jenkins; and Susannah who married James Jenkins.
