My great grandfather, Enoch Fisher, married Caroline Null. They had one child. Caroline died shortly thereafter. Their daughter, I think was raised by the grandparents. Her name was Mary Ann Frances Fisher and she was born 4 May 1855. Would like to find out what happened to her. Enoch Fisher went on to marry two more times. My connection it through him and not the Null family though.

Any dates on your James? There are so many of them. Pat, I have the following info on the James that I am looking for. I know he died before May 29, 1820 but not SURE where?? I will have to ck Rutherford Co Records for a will. (Just haven't gotten that far yet.) I know he had two daughters, Margaret "Peggy" McLin, b. Apr 12, 1791 that married Thomas Davidson Lansden and a daug Eunice, b. Dec 15, 1803 that married Enoch Hunt Jones, Sr. March 23, 1825, in Rutherford Co., TN. This is all I know, except I have the following: Found in "Genealogical Abstracts from Early Tennessee Newspapers 1803-1812", James M'Lin, on Bradley Creek, has taken up a bay mare. On July 25, 1810, the mare's value is $35. In "Wills & Inventories of Rutherford County, Tennessee 1804-1823", the following are recorded: Book 4, page 259: "An Inventory of the estate of James McLin, deceased, as returned to March Term 1820. Several items listed, 100 3/4 acres of land not sold, 34 entered of land not sold. 40 acres taken by an older claim and other items mentioned. Signed by William Bumpass and William A McLin, executors. Recorded 29th May 1820". Book 5, page 244: "Supplement to the Inventory of the estate of James McLin, deceased. Money received $153.33. 15th October 1822. Signed William Bumpass and William A McLin, executors. Recorded 26 November 1822". Book 5, page 271: "17th January 1823. Total $3800.00. Signed by John L Jetton, Robt. McComb and Jacob Wright. Recorded 11th March 1823". Book 6, page 195: "A return of John Overall, guardian for Eunice McLin, a minor heir of James McLin, deceased. Received in several payments $405.00. Whole amount received $678.75. Property received from William Bumpass, executor of James McLin, deceased, one bureau and press, one cow and calf, one saddle and bridle. Total amount &767.58 3/4. Signed by John Overall, guardian. Recorded 31st March 1826". Eden Donnell bought land from the estate of James McLin on Bradley Creek, William Bumpass was the administrator for James McLin, in Nov 13, 1827 in Rutherford Co.,TN. See following: In land deeds dated, November 13, 1827, Eden purchased 111 acres on Bradley's Creek from William Bumpass, (this would have been Jr), Executor of James McLin's estate. Hello, Looking for information about Jacob Null (b. 1794, TN, d. ?) and Jane Caroline Warren (b. 1792 in NC), my GGG Grandparents who lived part of their lives in Smith Co., TN and may be buried there. Jacob is listed in 1830, 40 and 50 census for Smith Co., and, Jane in 1850. She's not listed in the 1860 census, suggesting she may have passed before then. Nor do I have any info on Jacob's or Jane's parents/siblings. They had six children that I know of: John M. Null, b. 1826; (Sarah (Sally) A. Null, b. 1828; Anna Jane Null (21 Oct 1830 or 31 to 3 Jan 1874); Mary Caroline Null, 15 Dec 30 to 23 Dec 1856); George W. Null, 1833 to before 1900; and Elizabeth E. Null, b. 1836. 3. That was a good story and the N.C. Pope was Nathan Campbell POPE who was nephew to my ggrandmother ( he was descended from Calvin POPE/Silas POPE/Phillip POPE.) He recovered from his wounds and returned home to marry Frances Ann Denton on 21 Sept 1865 and lived until 1911. I visited his grave in the Pope Cemetery on Hwy 70 about 7 miles west of Carthage on Popes Hill. I have his birth year as 1845. Does anyone have his day of birth? Thanks for that story, and thanks to John Waggoner for his input. Jeanne Dark

    2. Jan, Near the intersection of Upper Ferry Rd and the bypass there is a new Chamber of Commerce building. Turn on the road across the street and follow it pass the apartments and office building- the road then turns to gravel and goes under the bridge. Continue approx tenth of a mile and a gravel road turns to left - follow this for approx 100 yards into the field and you will be at the William Walton Cemetery. It is usually mowed and nicely kept.
