I checked the web site and found that there was a spelling error on "dixonscreek." The correct web site is http://www.rootsweb.com/~tnsmith/churchpics/dixonspringsunion2.htm Hope it helps. - Ross Clark Danene Vincent wrote: >Yes, I had the same problem. > >-----Original Message----- >From: Lold615@msn.com [mailto:Lold615@msn.com] >Sent: Wednesday, October 12, 2005 8:31 PM >To: TNSMITH-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: Re: [TNSMITH] Re: D. Thank you Mary...confirms what I have. I believe you may have a typo re xJessie Haynie Hackett...did you not mean he married Minerva Cowan rather than Mirrerva? Melba, I just discovered I have obit info on their son Jessie, Jr. and it lists his mother as Minerva Cowan. So I will change that and not the difference in the cemetery record. Mary K.

I have a general question for anyone. I know I have family in Smith County prior to 1813. Since the census are not available, are their any early tax lists, or anything else that would enumerate people, perhaps ones that may not have been land owners?
