Is there a list of Churches around the Chestnut Mound area from the 1800-1860 era? Since I have never been to Smith County yet, I don't which area's are close to Chestnut Mound. Hills in the area could hamper travel making difficult to get to area's close on the map. Just trying to tackle the problem of which churches were likely attended in the area. During the 1800-1860 time period Horse travel was all that was probably available to the area. Does anyone have an Idea how far people would travel to go to church? These would be local farmers that would have to work hard at least 6 days a week. Thanks Jerry Harvill
