    1. Edgar McKinney/McKenny Kemp
    2. Eldon Wilkins
    3. Kemp seekers - E. M. Kemp married D. T. Glover in Smith Co. 27 Feb 1878. Can this E. M. be same as Edgar McKinney Kemp? If so, he would be born about 1858 (men generally marrying at about age 20). NO is the answer..not same. And the WWI record states Edgar McKinney Kemp born 1896 in Defeated so definitely the above E. M. Kemp NOT the same searching for but could be father re age of the E.M. we are searching for....(so the Allie b 1893 next to Edgar McKenny Kemp in Cemetery is probably the spouse of our WWI vet). So? Can Hailey & Maggie Kennedy Kemp be his parents? Hailey was 13 years older than Maggie re cem. record and Maggie would have been 15 when E. M. born in 1896...so a possibility. (Does anyone have the obit of Maggie or Hailey/ Edgar M. or Allie?) Checked the Smith History book and found nothing on either E. M. nor D. T. or Allie. Here we go again....and it's Monday...so hope I am thinking straight! Melba

John Goad, Sr.'s parents as Abraham and Katherine Williams Goad. Abraham's parents as Richard and Sarah Parker Goad. The above information is not research done by me, but years of sharing with other Goad researchers. I hope it is correct. Peggy .

I am aware of the 5 Goad children being in the household of others but sorry I do not have any more information There was a marriage license taken out between Abrahm Goad and Mary Bishop, March 18, 1851. 3. Trying to verify b/d dates for my ggg-grandmother, Annie Dillard STEWART of Gordonsville area. She was the wife of James W. STEWART. I believe she is buried in the Stewart Moss Cemetery and the dates on the website say her death was 1894. However, I find her listed on the 1900 fed. census living with James and dau. Martha J. . Acc'd to the census she had 13 children, 9 who were living at the time. Does anyone know a different death date for her? The website lists Martha's death as 1901. Also, does anyone know who now owns the property that contains the Stewart-Moss Cemetery? I drove out there in June to find it, but the road was blocked and a tresspass warning given. Is there a way to (long distance) find out who owned property in the 1900's? Thanks. Gwendolyn
