From: [email protected] Bobby; I don't have parents for Miles West, but I show "Jesse Ira West" son of Miles West DOB as 20-Mar-1840 d. 03-Feb-1915 married to, Nancy Martha Williams DOB as 19-May-1848 d. 17-Jul-1917. I Wonder is their two Jesses, or is this Jesse 10 years old instead of 10 mo. Hello, Harold, Jesse Ira West would be the son of Edward West/Nancy Kemp, and the grandson of Elder Miles West. There are several Jesse West boys as well a many Miles West boys. While everyone else was naming their sons John, the West clan was nameing their sons either Miles or Jesse. Bobby L. West
There is more than one Miles West and more than one Jessie West, depending on what dates you are looking for. There is quite a bit posted about this family in the Family Tree section on ancestry.com. This is not my line, so I cannot attest to accuracy, but there is a Jesse Ira West on ancestry listed as son of Edward West and Nancy Kemp. His dates are listed as March 20, 1840 to Feb. 3, 1915, married to Martha Nancy Williams on Oct. 14, 1869 in Macon Co., TN. This info is listed under Family Trees by more than one source. The Edward West listed as father of Jesse Ira, is said to be son of Miles West and Lucy Parker. Again, I am quoting info posted online and have not done this research. Thanks Fay C. Does anyone have access to the marriages listed in Smith Co. or Wilson Co. in 1824. I am specifically looking for Josiah Davidson who married Susannah Hughes Dec. 31, 1824. According to some researchers, they were married in Prince Edward Co., VA, but there is no record to support this thought. If anyone can help, it will be very much appreciated. Marcia Davidson
