    3. Wonder if a William Owen or Henry Owen appears on any of the rosters of wartime. Earliest record in our files shows William Owen in Smith County Tennessee 1833 to 1850, We say 1833 because his son William Owen Jr. was born then, and we say 1850 because William Owen died around that time along with his wife. Strange for both to die same year, but our records could be wrong. We say Henry because my ggfather Henry Owen may have been named after his ggfather who would have been father to William Owen. Henry had a middle name Mentlo which could have come from an earlier ancestor, or a member of his ggmother's family. Any idea where the middle name Mentlo might have come from.? The remainder of this family was in Tyrone Missouri after 1875 when Henry married into the Rutledge family, also from Tennessee.. donkelly Owen Rutledge

    2. Brenda...this is a Mushroom, I think....but, Do you find any Donnell's/Donald's or Mc/Mac of the same?? Maybe even McDaniel's?? I am looking for an Eden Donnell/Donald that would have died in 1828 in Rutherford Co., TN....he was young, had only married in 1824 and bought land in Rutherford Co in 1827...left wife and 3 children....I can find NOTHING about him prior to purchasing the land and his will...he died between censuses and before anyone but HOH was listed...I've wondered if he came home from war and died or injury or illness. His wife was from Wilson Co, so he could have lived there before the land purchase in 1827....
