I am researching the Stevens Family of Smith Co. One of the people I am looking for is Penelope Stevens Ward who was married to John B. Ward. I know they show up on the 1880 census, and the 1900 census. By 1910 Penelope is gone, and in 1920 John no longer shows up on the census. I am wanting to know if anyone has info on when these two people died exactly, and where they might be buried at. I cannot find them on the listings for cemeteries in Smith Co. Also any info on John B Ward and his family would be great. When was he born, who were his parents, did he have siblings? That kind of stuff. Thank you for reading. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com

Gary, I did a search by SSN, and a search for people born in 1891 who died in Oct 1956, with no sign of any name even resembling Gussie Abigail DeSpain Kemp. Since the SSDI only includes information on SSN's for which a death benefit was claimed, this is a sign that no such benefit was ever applied for. If you need information from the original SS-5 application, you should still be able to make a FOIA request for it based on the information you have and the death certificate. -Richard -----Original Message----- >From: "G.J.Pace" <[email protected]> >Sent: Apr 3, 2008 2:41 AM >To: TNSMITH <[email protected]> >Subject: [TNSMITH] Request for Kemp Social Security Lookup > >According to her death certificate, Gussie Abigail DeSpain Kemp (1 June >1891 - 17 Oct. 1956) had SSNo. 498-24-1668, but I am unable to establish >the correspondence. Gary, this is the site I used, but I came up with nothing. I used just the SS#, and then every variation of the name I could think of. I found several Gussie Kemps and Augusta Kemps, but none with the right SS# and/or dates of birth and death. http://ssdi.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/ssdi.cgi Sandra -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]On Behalf Of G.J.Pace Sent: Thursday, April 03, 2008 12:42 AM To: TNSMITH Subject: [TNSMITH] Request for Kemp Social Security Lookup According to her death certificate, Gussie Abigail DeSpain Kemp (1 June 1891 - 17 Oct. 1956) had SSNo. 498-24-1668, but I am unable to establish the correspondence.
