Hello, I'm researching the Charles Edward Kennedy family from Memphis. He was the owner of the CE Kennedy Dry Docks at the foot of the Beale. His business was washed out in the flood of 1934 and while rebuilding he came to Wisconsin to visit his daughter, my grandmother, and died while crossing Lake Michigan on a boat. He worked this business with his brothers, Robert Kennedy, John W Kennedy, and half brothers William Fitchpatrick and James Fitchpatrick.
