My Hays family was listed in the 1850 census in Shelby Co. Sarah M. Hays was head of household with oldest son 20 and youngest son as 6. The family was Cumberland Presbyterian. Sarah died in 1857 and her estate listed a Stewart as bond for her son WWC Hays. An Ogelsby was listed as guardian for her youngest daughter. Would love to find more about this family.
