Hi! I have been searching for my lost ancestor, Dunstan B. O'Bannion. I have been unable to find him since the 1840 Marshall Co., MS census. As a last resort, I began to look for him in surrounding counties which led me to Shelby Co., TN. I found a marriage for D. B. O'Bannian and Mrs. Mary Ann Grammar 18 Jul 1852. Also, there is a J. B. OBanion in the 1850 Shelby Co. TN census. This may be my lost ancestor, but I am hesitant to accept this without more conclusive proof. I have searched all Shelby Co TN records in my library. They only have census and marriage records. If any Shelby Co., TN researcher has access to additonal resources, I would greatly appreciate it if you could look in your indexes to see if there is any mention of a Dunstan O'Bannion/O'Bannon in the years 1840 and up. If I could find a record showing that first name (since it is unusual) I would be convinced, and a big mystery would be on its way to being solved. Thanks in advance! Sherry Ledlow
