I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm trying to find the railroad line that was first out of Memphis area. Believed to have made the first trip across Ms. The conductor is suppose to be my ggggrandfather, George WHITE. It is stated in a letter to cousins, written back in 1942, from Mrs. Virginia POAG of Tn. Would like to connect with this ladies family. Believe she could be related. Knew alot about the WHITE family. George was said to be in Memphis area by 1840. Originally, he came from Scotland. Unknown date & time. Thanks for any help. Debbie
