Hello, Would anyone be so kind as to help me try to find some info on Mildred P. Perry from Memphis, Shelby Co. TN. I have hit a brick wall. Does anyone have access to any city directory from 1925 thru 1950? I am desperately trying to find her parents or any family connection. She is my husbands birth mother. She was born March 25, 1925 in Memphis, but they can't seem to find a birth record. We think she had at least one sister. She was married to Charles R. Brooks in 1946 for 3 years and had one son before they divorced. My husband lost all contact with her and then found out she died in July of 1973. I don't know the exact day of the month and she had remarried a man called "Shorty" Kincade or Kincaid. They have not been able to find a death record either. If anyone can find an obituary, (probably in the Commercial Appeal) we would be more than happy to reimburse any fees or costs occurred or associated.
