I am hoping to find someone with knowledge of my Great Uncle Lee A. or G. Carter. He was a lovely man and a few of his old letters have been given to me. He was born about 1866, probably in the Dyer or Gibson County area. He was the son of LeRoy Green Carter. His siblings were John Carter, James Monroe Carter, Dora Selena Carter Eudaly, Emma Carter North and Sarah Carter Craig. He was a gentleman, I wish I had known him. He wrote lovely family letters as late as 1957 at age 91. I would love to know more of him, where exactly he was born, who his wife and children (1 daughter Martha (Mattie) Cora Carter) were, where he went to church and where he is buried.
