I found a little blurb in the Commercial Appeal today about the Tennessee Genealogical Society and thought the following information may be of help to someone on the list. "The Tennessee Genealogical Society will host an open house Sunday at the society's library, 9114 Davies Plantation Road. Experienced researchers will be on hand to offer advice and free get-started material for those wishing to trace family histories. For information, call the society office at 381-1447, 10 am-2 pm, Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday." The area code is 901. Hope this helps with someone's research.
