In my great-grandaunt notes she wrote that my GGG-grandfather, Henry Alwes, was buried in Memphis and is buried in the "veterans cemetery". I called the Memphis National Cemetery and they didn't have him listed. Was wondering if anyone new what the veterans cemetery is or where a solider who died in the Memphis area during the war (Jan 21, 1863) might be buried. Thanks Steve McNeill 1809 Woodvalley Ct.
