John Thompson Jr. Jan 2, 1914 - Aug. 9, 2000 Pittsburg, California John Thompson Jr., an assembly worker for 20 years and a stock clerk for Bill Russo Delicatessen for 15 years, died at Pittsburg Care Center. He was 86. The native of Memphis, Tennessee lived in Pittsburg for 51 years. Military: Army 1941-1943 Survivors: Daughter, Mary Logan of Pittsburg; and three granddaughters. His wife, Nancy, died in 1998. Services: 2-8pm with a 7pm quiet hour Friday at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. 11am funeral Saturday at the chapel with burial at Oakview Memorial Park in Antioch.
