Hi! There is a website for the Elks fraternity listed on "Cyndi's Genealogy List." The address is www.elks.org. Haven't been able to access it with my computer tonight. In my grandmother's Bible there was a Oddfellows' memorial concerning the 1874 death of her father in Haywood Co., TN. I found a reference book in our local library that gave me names and addresses of the National Oddfellows' Fraternal Order. Writing to ask about the memorial I found, the organization responded that they regretted there were no records from that time period. I surely hope that the Elks have records. I know what "brick walls" are like!
