Helen, your Newspaper Extracts at <http://www.rootsweb.com/~tnnews/> are fantastic. I can only guess at how long it must take to transcribe them, but they are wonderful resource. Over the past couple of years, I've undertaken a few regional one-name-studies usually involving at least a couple of thousand people in the hope that, amongst all that, I'll discover a gem about my own people with those surnames. Usually, my own family comprises only a small portion. Like you, I've been throwing the data onto the web for others to use and then advising the relevant discussion lists. It's a great feeling when I can help someone else with their own research. Please keep up the good work. I, for one, am keen to see what transpires from the next batches, whenever that may be.
