Has anyone ever heard of the "Manhattan Bank" or "Manhattan Savings Bank and Trust"? One of my ancestors (John W. Cochran) was one the original founders and was president until 1899. One of his grandsons (Frank T. Cochran) was the vice-president until 1942. Is this bank now defunct? Was it taken over by another bank? If it was taken over, by which bank? Does anyone know where it used to be? Who knows...if this bank is still in operation, or if it was taken over by another bank, they might have information on my ancestors!
