I agree, Shelby Co is not very active, although I don't know why, because the genealogy section at the library is usually very crowded, so there are plenty of people doing research. One suggestion is to send your ideas to the Shelby Co. Genweb coordinator. Maybe if some projects were proposed, there would be some volunteers. I started the newspaper abstracts because I was reading the papers trying to find information on my family and thought it was such a waste not to write down what I was reading. Just a thought........
