Hi all: I research the surnames Lynn, Jones, Wherry, Herring, Griffin, Dandridge, Smith, Scott, and Redditt. These families are relatives and moved into Shelby County before 1850. The Lynns and Wherrys came from SC. The Jones, Griffins, and Dandridges came from Virginia. The Herrings came from NC. The Scotts and Redditts came from Sumner Co, TN and NC before that.
