    1. DALEY/TODD
    2. Pam Lee
    3. I need help. Where is the best place to locate information requarding when a child is taken from a home. This happened in Memphis TN to my ancestor Eddie Lee TODD (DALEY is her fathers surname) TODD is her mother's surname. Her mother 's Rosa Belle TODD died back in 1923 and either 1923 or 1924 Eddie TODD was removed from the home of her mother's sister Birdie Lue TODD-HARRIS and taken to the orphanage because she was not considered to be mullatoe but white. I am trying to find out if Eddie Lee's Aunt Birdie L. TODD-HARRIS was given custody or if she adopted this niece and her sisters (Inez TODDand Kathyn WHERRY). On a 1930's train past it states Kathyrn WHERRY as a daughter to Birdie L. TODD-HARRIS. Birdie TODD-HARRIS was married to Alton HARRIS of Newbern TN. I send a notarize letter to the Shelby County Juvenile Central Records office but they could not find any information. If someone could tell me what orphanages would have been in operation in the city of Memphis TN at that time and where to look for documation on this matter. I am also looking for TODD & HARRIS relatives who would have been related to William & Rose TODD who had 12 children: Green HARRIS the father to Alton HARRIS and James HARRIS. Green HARRIS' sister Lucinda HARRIS married Lafayette (fayette) HASKINS in Newbern TN. The HARRIS resided in that area down to Memphis. Thanks for any assistance offer.

    2. I have many family members from TN. The generation prior to the one I need to search, at this time, was from Sullivan Co. and it is believed that they were born in Nashville. So, I don't know what county to search? Please help, and if you're exceptionally kind you might be able to help me anyway. I am looking for SPURGEON, Frances Elizabeth b. 1817, TN. Must find her father and mother and her Grandfather and Mother as I have to prove my relationship to SPURGEON, Charles Haddon b. 1834 back in England, so thought if I went back 2 generations it would be easier to cross over, if you get my gist. SPURGEON, Frances Elizabeth married HILTON, James Andrew b.TN 23/03/1813. His folks were HILTON, Charles b.TN abt 1775, d. abt. 1839. His wife was YOAKLEY, Margaret. B TN 1779.
