In my extensive family tree, my connections to Shelby County are not huge. My ggrandfather William R. Clements, Jr., was born on Feb. 9, 1821 in Shelby County, TN. His father William R., Sr., was born in VA. His mother was Lettis HOLLODAY -- I don't know any more about her except that her father's name was John. Wm. Jr. married Adeline A. WEAVER, who was born in Haywood Co in 1832, in 1856 in Tipton Co, and both died there. I was hoping that my tenuous connection to Shelby County might lead to more information about Lettice HOLLODAY.
