    1. LOOKUP- MCDONALD (TODD's of TN)
    2. I am doing reseach on my TODD line. William and Rose (Rosie) TODD who move from Fayetteville Lincoln cty.,TN to Minter City,LeFlore cty., MS per 1900 MS census which stated all children were born in TN., but sometime after that census they move back to TN. When I was in Memphis TN the week of Nov 8, 1999. I was able to do some research and I did check the City Directories from the 1927 back 1909, which 1927 is when they Rosa Todd move to Michigan with her daughter and son-in-law, Alton Harris and Birdie (Bertie) Lou TODD-HARRIS. William TODD died in 1921 and two children had died, James TODD age 28yrs died in 1910 and Rosa Belle TODD-WHERRY age 45 yrs died in 1923. On the death certificate the age was wrong for Rosa Belle it had (ca 75 yrs). The other children were Charlie TODD whom we do not know his where abouts age abt 30-32 in 1910. Other children were married when William and Rose TODD left Fayetteville TN were William TODD Jr, Caroline TODD-WHARTON, Suella (Sueella) TODD-Robinson (Robertson), and Jennie TODD-WHARTON. William Todd had children from his first marriage to a ? GEE and the children were Georgianna TODD and Anderson TODD who were raised by their maternal grandmother Ann GEE in Fayetteville TN. Georgianna died in the early 1880's and Anderson TODD I am still researching. If anyone has any connection to my TODD's or have any information please contact me. These TODD's were very well known Memphis and Fayetteville TN I need LOOKUP In Memphis TN In Memphis TN for a relative name Bernetta (McDonald) MCDONALD. I was told she was living back in the 1925-1940's and possibily other years. She was a TODD descendant. By me living in Michigan it so far away from TN. But I was so amazed and glad at the amount of information that the Memphis Main Library on Peabody St. had in their History Room. I just didn't have enough time. That Library is loaded with information not only for Memphis but other TN counties. Any help is appreciated. Pamela Lee in Michigan. plee@usxchange.net

    1. HOUSTON Family
    2. jhouston
    3. This is something that you should be aware of before you find yourself, like I did, receiving threatening messages to kill me and members of my family if I did not send them money. This group of men and women harass you day and night, to keep you from going to sleep. This group of people call themselves the Golden Rule of Atlanta, Georgia. They tell you that they will kill you just a little every day by not allowing you to go to asleep. I have not had over four or five hours sleep at night for over two years now, I try to get a short nap sometime during the daytime, when they do not notice. They have continued to harass me for over two years. They keep you awake by the brain-washing procedure of repeating certain phases and commands, over and over, hoping thhat you will do what they command, or they will kill you and your family.(THEY CONTINUE TO USE THE WORD "KILL" ALL THEY CAN AS IT IS SO INTIMIDATING) There is a constant repetitive command over and over to do what they tell you. Their main means of extorting money appears to be brain-washing older senior citizens while they are asleep, to change their will to make the Golden Rule Group of Atlanta, Georgia, beneficiary of all their money and property. They keep repeating this over and over, and if you do not do as they command, they will not let you go to sleep. After several days without sleep, they say that you will agree to all commaands given and become the SLAVE of the brain-washer. THIS IS NOT A JOKE. I sent this information to The Federal Bureau of Investigation in June of this year and I am sure they are conducting the necessary followup to put these people in jail. You should do the same. YOU SHOULD NOT EVER GIVE THEM ANY MONEY OR MAKE THEM YOUR BENEFICIARY. Send to this address: Headquarters Federal Bureau of Investigation 935 Pennsylvania Avenue NW Washington, D. C. 20535-0001.

    1. Memphis-early 1900's-SIMMONS /BETHEL /HOLLIDAY
    2. Hi Group: I am a fortunate person to still have my Grandparents alive in their late 80's and still having good memories. I was able to get additional information from them on my Simmons line. George Ova Simmons "Ovie" was born 1885 in Paducah KY. He married Arda_______. Their children Lloyd and Duard were born in Memphis approx. 1910-1920. He worked on the Pulman cars on the trains in Memphis and that area. Cora May Simmons, b. 1886 in Paducah, married Zeek, McNabb, then Oscar T. Laws. Oscar also worked the trains in the Memphis area, but I find him in Louisville in 1932. He was living as a neighbor to Cora's father, Cora's older brother Esba was working the trains in the Louisville area. There were ten children in this family. I am only giving information that is new to me and involves the Memphis area. Here are the youngest two daughters. Arah Leoma Simmons, b. 1900 Paducah, KY. 1938 finds her getting her SS card. She is living on Wellington in Memphis. She is working at Oliver-Finnie Co. located at Vance & Front in Memphis. She died in 1988 in Memphis. She married very briefly, but I don't have the man's name. Erman Ethel Simmons, b. 1903 in Paducah, KY. Married a man named BETHEL who was a plumber in Memphis. She died in 1969 in Memphis. I'm looking for marriage records, birth certificates, death certificates, and places of burial. I'm also hoping to find living relatives who are researching this line. These are siblings of my GGM Florence Lillian Simmons Holliday, who lived until I was 19 years old and left lots of wonderful memories. Donna

    3. If someone has an Arkansas census index anytime between 1880 and 1920, would they please pick any year and look for Robert and Betty Lewis or Theophilus Thomas LEWIS m. to Sarah/Delilah____. They were in Little Rock, Pulaski in 1929-34. Am unable to get anywhere with this side of my family past 1929. They also lived in Memphis in the 30s. Searching for: for Robert LEWIS m.Betty___ 2 dau., Helen(b. before 1912) and Billie Josephine(b.1912),(my mother) Billie was b. Newport(Jackson Co).They later lived in Faulkner and eventually Pulaski (1930). I realize this is a common name, but I have no initials for Robert, who was dead by 1930s. There was a nearby LEWIS family in the 1930-34 L.Rock City Directories that consisted of Theo,Sarah/Lila,Josephine,James,and Helen LEWIS. I also found a 1920 census listing for Theo (age 42) and Lila with children Fannie,James,Bernice and Helen.,+ James Cooper, age 88. Helens' age is just right, but she should be with Robert & Betty. Regards, Pat Koger

    3. Hello all, Max Plesofsky was born in Poland about May 1870 he died about 1943 in Memphis TN. He married Sophie Applebaum and the couple migrated to the US about 1898 One of thier sons was Samuel. At some point samuel changes his name to Powell and he married Alwina Loewenberg. Now I have from family that Sam died in July 1955 in Denver Colorado. But...I've found a death record of Alwina Powell on Nov. 18, 1955 in Memphis. She is buried at the Baron Hirsch cemetery. I believe this to be the same Alwina who married Samuel (Plesofsky) Powell. Any info. greatly appreciated Julie ________________________________________________________________ Get FREE voicemail, fax and email at http://voicemail.excite.com Talk online at http://voicechat.excite.com
