I've been trying to find more records on the family via internet and such. Thought I'd look on the boards, too. The book that was written about Isaac Thomas' family is called, "Isaac Thomas Of Sevierville, Tennessee," compiled by Charlotte Bailey Wynn, copyright 1980, printed by The Buckhorn Press, Gatlinburg, TN. When I found this book, I found someone to call (though I can't remember who and I can't find my notes), and I got permission to copy the book as it was out of print. Page 5 is where is says he never had a Cherokee wife. Pages 40-43 is where John H. Thomas, son of Isaac and Elizabeth Massengill, and family are listed.
