Hello Would this happen to be a black family? This is the only family that even half was fits the description. The name of the wife does not match, but it could be a middle name. There was no other family with a son by the name of Thomas of near the right age in TN. I do not know if you realize this or not, but if a family was of mixed blood other that white before 1900, they were sometimes enumerated as black, and this included Indian heritage. I found a family in 1880 in Madison County, NC where the father was black, the mother white, the children were all black. In 1900, the same thing. When I was in the courthouse one day, I happened across the delayed birth records of the children of this couple as lo and behold they were all recorded as WHITE, do that told me that they had to be of native American Heritage. Sorry I do not have the house numbers, this is from the National Index and Census.
